Another survival horror movie series moves onto Hollywood turf.

The survival horror genre seems to be ripe for videogame adaptations; Silent Hill and Resident Evil have both been swept into Hollywood, and Capcom's Clock Tower series seems next on the list.
Dark Horizons says script writer Todd Farrmer, the same man behind the ingenious Jason X released a few years ago, has been tapped by film company Mayham Project to helm an adaptation of the last game in the series. Clock Tower's famous for its giant-scissors wielding villain.
The Clock Tower series garnered the most attention during the early PlayStation days before eventually losing steam in subsequent sequels, but it's always kept ticking along. Clock Tower 3 was released three years ago on PlayStation 2, though not to the greatest critical acclaim. |
