In a move reminiscent of the Grand Theft Auto IV deal between Rockstar and Microsoft which reportedly saw the exchange of $50 million for exclusive Grand Theft Auto IV DLC, Bethesda Softworks last week announced exclusive Fallout 3 downloadable content (DLC) for Windows and the Xbox 360.

Bethesda's Peter Hines this week confirmed the deal, but was reluctant to part with details as to exactly what form the DLC would take or whether Microsoft paid to ensure the exclusive rights.

However, he was clear that there would be no qualifiers as it related to other platforms, suggesting that there will not be any form of Fallout 3 DLC for the PS3.


Fallout 3 is set for release in the autumn on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, and promises to be one of the key releases of 2008.
