1月26日SONY在游戏在线杂志Kotaku上宣布,PS3北美地区发售日将在2006年暑期.KOTAKU称,SONY始终在计算最最好的发售时间,现在终于决定了!PS3的价格会和2006年春天在日本发售期的价格是一样的!但是日期是不会再改变了!
延长六个月的时间给了微软公司XBOX360很好的机会来展开更好的销售良机,任天堂的Revolution ***也会和PS3一样在2006年暑期发行,哈哈价格基本定位在$300左右,比PS3的$500便宜多了啊!??!

"well-placed mole" is reporting that Sony has internally confirmed that the PS3 will launch during the holiday season of 2006 in North America, according to top gaming blog Kotaku.
According to the Kotaku piece, Sony executives are "trying to figure out how to handle the launch" now that the date has been decided upon internally. The piece also states that Sony is likely to shoot for a Japanese launch in the spring of 2006, though a final decision hasn't yet been made.
Though the report is only as strong as Kotaku's anonymous source, the fallout from such a move could prove to be a thorn in Sony's side. A six-month delay would give Microsoft's Xbox 360 an excellent chance to take a commanding lead over the PS3 on a console-by-console basis.
And the consequences for Nintendo and its quirky Revolution console--also scheduled to launch this coming holiday season--could be devastating. In the end, it will all boil down to price. With CNN Money predicting that the PS3 will weigh in at $500 , and Nintendo officially confirming that the Revolution will come in "under $300," it's entirely possible that a side-by-side launch with the PS3 might not entirely cripple Nintendo's chances.
