you: I live and work four days a week in one city and three days a week I am off at my primary residence in another city. I have a PS3 at both homes. Will I have to purchase an online pass for my 2nd PS3 or can I obtain another pass through EA?

you: I have 2 PS3 consoles. I need an online pass for each one but my game only came with one code. How can I play *** 3 online multiplayer on both if I only have one online pass?
Pankaj: There is no way that you can play on two console with one code.
Pankaj: Is there anything else you wish to know?
you: Could you please provide me with a second code. I paid $60 USD for the game and live in two seperate homes with two seperate PS3 consoles.
Pankaj: Let me check if possible.

you: Why?
Pankaj: Because with one game , we nly provide one online passcode.
Pankaj: Apart from this anything else you want to know?
you: But many people own 2 PS3s. Thousands of kids whose parents have divorced have a PS3 at one parent's home and another PS3 at another parent's home. In my situation, I live in two places for my employment. How can this be resolved?
Pankaj: I really feel sorry , but if i cound provide you the code , i might have done it already , but in such cases we are not able to provide the new code.
you: Okay. Please tell your supervisor that this is an issue for some people so that a resolution may be provided in the near future. I own a lot of games and have never come across a game I could only play on one console. Also, if someone's PS3 breaks, they will not be able to play the game with the system in it's current state.

So, that's the current stance EA is taking. Imagine your console breaks and you have to scrape up a bunch of cash for a new console and then you have to buy another online pass just to play it. What a kick in the teeth from a company that obviously wants to make money off of used game sales. (Making money twice from the same game.)
It's funny how major corporations figure out how to make extra money when the economy is this bad. Just squeeze some cash from our supporters and from people who couldn't afford a new copy to begin with.
Maybe with *** 4, EA will require a credit card to charge us for online play. Why not? Microsoft already does it. |
