( M+ ^9 X8 N% ~' W  Firmtool was created to allow users to easily create Samsung/BenQ
  Xtreme/iXtreme firmware patched with the correct information from
9 L% |0 [, A% }% q" Z$ M5 B  their BenQ/Hitachi/Samsung original firmware.

  Firmtool supports original firmware from all drives currently
  shipped with an Xbox 360 console.  It will detect the firmware
! q! `7 y4 H- t* G) F  version, locate, check and copy the key, copy the version strings
6 B9 W4 g& U8 a; U. Y7 y1 O: v  if different from the hacked firmware (aka spoofing), and copy the
! Q/ P& p: S! q! C! c: w& Y# Q* w+ l  drive serial (for BenQ firmware only).

USAGE:

' I: L1 L' H) N5 t( Z! \% K, h  Simply place your original firmware file (orig.bin) and the hacked
  l7 e2 G  V; _! m9 e  firmware (hacked.bin) file in a directory with firmtool.exe. If in
  windows, open a command prompt window and goto the chosen directory.

  Then type:
- ]* ?0 }- ?: c1 H& o: m' Z5 V  firmtool orig.bin hacked.bin

3 \9 ?5 p4 Z( s2 ]4 N  If firmtool completes without any errors or warnings, then the
! T5 `3 P* z  F1 z  hacked firmware is ready to be flashed to your dvd-rom.

  *** Note: Filenames are not fixed but must conform to the 8.3 dos
% B; w$ u5 s1 i; f) k$ k0 j         standard.

KNOWN ISSUES:
------------

, n  r7 ?3 m  ^3 y4 n9 |  - When firmtool is too deeply embeded in a directory, it will fail
5 r( s/ ^$ J: t, C4 }) t& e' u    to execute.  Simply move it to a directory located closer to the
( g8 t. U) _) k, f( Y7 w* ~    root of your filesystem and it will execute properly.
2 N; C: s8 Z" G$ R; W" m  - Firmtool will not accept ENCRYPTED hitachi firmware.  You must
    first decrypt the firmware with 360 Firmware Toolbox.
  - Do not use spoofed firmware as your hacked source.  Either use
    firmtool to spoof or spoof with 360 Firmware Toolbox after using
    firmtool to copy your key information.
  - 'Wisely Loves Lan' error with BenQ original firmware.  From what
# j2 q# p7 x! J1 G$ ?2 C+ Y    have seen, 99% of original BenQ firmware has this string.  If
    you get this message with firmtool and it completes successfully,
% W. }) G7 f! t+ S+ b! \    chances are your original firmware is fine, it just doesnt have
    the standard string in your serial.
