New AU Xbox 360 Price Cuts
Aggressive new pricing takes MS into the holiday season.

Australia, November 10, 2008 - Microsoft is bringing out the big guns against Sony and Nintendo this holiday season by aggressively lowering the prices of its Xbox 360 SKUs on shelves around Australia. The Xbox 360 Arcade unit now breaks the AU$300 price barrier, now retailing for AU$299.95.
"Gaming is set to be one of the hottest categories this year. Consoles are a great gift for the whole family. Now that we're making gaming even more affordable Australians can have more fun for less this holiday," said Jeremy Hinton, Xbox group product marketing manager, Australia and New Zealand. "Xbox 360 is the cheapest next-gen console on the market, has the biggest number of next-gen games and it's the home of Xbox LIVE, the largest social network on TV.
"The Xbox 360 also has an amazing line up of games this festive season including Lips, Fable 2, Gears of War 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour, making it a great present for the whole family," added Hinton.
Microsoft is dropping the price of their entire Xbox 360 console range. New pricing as follows:
Xbox 360 Arcade now AU$299 (was AU$349)
Xbox 360 Pro now AU$399 (was AU$499)
Xbox 360 Elite now AU$549 (was AU$649)
"At the end of the month Xbox owners will be able to download a new user interface for their consoles, effectively updating the console. The New Xbox Experience is cleaner and more user-friendly and will allow users to create online parties, chat with friends, share pictures, create avatars of themselves and much more," added Hinton.

PS：我是今年4月18日在澳买的主机，当时20G pro版花了我529刀，这个价钱还是当时各大游戏店最便宜的主机价钱，但现在......呵呵，人们都说澳洲的主机和游戏世界最贵，此话果不欺我也！现在终于有点拨云见日的感觉了，起码主机价格下来了，希望再接再厉，游戏价格也能回落。对于像我这种只能玩正版的人来说，最近两个月的大作潮，看着A9兄弟们一个个都在爽最新的游戏，而自己只能对着论坛无限YY，实在是太痛苦啦！  . |
