The Matrix Team have announced a new Nintendo Wii modification chip that has an on-board SATA adapter that can connect to a stand alone hard drive for quick loading of your legal backup collection. It comes with 2Mbit of flash, requires no soldering and lets you retain the original functionality of your drive.
4. Note that the chip pictured is a prototype and will be much smaller when produced. The chip will be able to boot images via a menu or burnt backup discs. We should have more details including all of the technical specifications in a couple of days.

昨天在Wiinewz论坛就看到了，不过和Flatmii刚出来时一样，好多人都说是假的，就连发帖的人都不确定真伪。据说team matrix从2006年底就已经没有消息了。
不过如果是真的，flatmii team估计会头疼了。

wii的机能  纯软件不大显示吧 ，除非把内部nand flash换成8g或16g的

软改HDL确实不容易实现，因为USB接口的速度受限，还有WII本身没有硬盘。
