Why? Because next week is Christmas.
The Customs and Post office will be cramped with many many christmas presents and greeting cards.
Eventhough they send it to you by tommorow, there is no way for it to reach you before New Year.
If you don't mind make it as a Chinese New Year present (or perhaps Valentine's present) you can continue use free shipping. ?

And also, for the courier services, don't use EMS because it is also under the post office's service.
