February 5, 2010 - Japanese game developer Platinum Games has its first big hit.

Publisher SEGA revealed during its fiscal third quarter results that its sexy action title Bayonetta has sold 1.1 million units in Europe, Japan, and U.S. territories for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

This is good news for fans of the title as a sequel seems more likely at this point.

Other sales highlights from the quarter include Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, which sold a whopping 5.6 million units in U.S. and Europe. Football Manager 2010 pulled in a modest 740K units in Europe and U.S. as well.
