Lauren agrees new Arsenal deal

ARSENAL NEWS - Lauren has agreed terms on a new two year deal with Arsenal. The defender's future with the Gunners seemed in doubt after a compromise over the length of the deal could not be reached. Lauren was looking for a two or three year deal while Arsène Wenger was only offering a 12 month extension.

However, it now seems that Arsenal have relented and offered Lauren a two-year deal, which he has agreed to sign. With his current contract expiring in the summer Lauren looked to be heading back to Spain with both Barcelona and Real Madrid keen admirers.

The 28-year-old was thought to have been offered the chance to sign a pre-contract with Barcelona to move to Spain in the summer, but the offer of a longer deal at Highbury has convinced him to remain in North London.

Lauren joined the Gunners in the summer of 2000 and has been one of Arsenal's most underrated players since his time here. He has made the right back position his own but looks set to face competition from new signing Emmanuel Eboue and Justin Hoyte waiting for their chance to impress..

劳论肯留下实在太好了,自从上场博尔盾一役,才知道他目前是不可替代的,霍伊特太嫩,挨布还没适应英超,劳论的留下对于稳定军心有重大意义

我厂正是比较缺少硬朗的球员,因此他更不能走,我们打得太绅士就会容易给欺负

其实我觉得队长还是软...我厂目前最铁的铁汉当属砍背尔了,适当的飞铲能给对方的前锋心理压力

劳伦已经在一份2年的新合约上签了字。这位后卫的续约前景曾一度很不乐观。劳伦希望能得到一份2-3年的合同，不过温格只提供了12个月的新合同。不过看来阿森纳方面妥协了，劳伦得到了一份两年的合同。因为他的合约今年夏天就要到期，曾经有传闻认为他会去巴萨或皇马效力。这位28岁的球员曾经有机会和巴萨签署一个意向合同，以便夏天前往西班牙，但是阿森纳2年的合同最终使他留在海布里。
