ＮＧＣ的ＩＣ目前（２００５年一月）只有唯一一种，就是ＶＩＰＥＲ　ＧＣ！见下图：


改ＮＧＣ只要焊４条线，比起ＰＳ２的最少１７条（欧洲版）或是ＸＢＯＸ至少１１个焊点都容易许多，问题只在于BIOS来源取得和之后的BIOS刷新。

如果上述条件许可，自己***就可以省下一笔费用，而且之后更新BIOS也较容易！.

至于ＮＧＣ挑片不读盘的问题可以比照ＸＢＯＸ校正／加强飞利浦光驱的方式解决！

未经过校正／加强的ＮＧＣ光驱只可以读ＭＩＮＩ　ＤＶＤ－Ｒ以及高品质的标准１２厘米ＤＶＤ－Ｒ（必须把ＮＧＣ的机壳上部卸下）以下是从释放当今（２００５一月）唯一能不必透过ＢＢ　ＡＤＡＰＴＥＲ和电脑，可以成功***Ｄ盘或刻录盘的ＮＧＣ　ＩＣ　BIOS团队所发信息源文节录：

但是自从外国网友发现了校正／加强ＮＧＣ光驱的方法后，情况就明郎多了，基本上校正／加强后的ＮＧＣ光驱成了杂食动物，喂它吃什么盘，它都来者不拒，连某些ＤＶＤ＋Ｒ都照吃不误，原文如下：

看來有點危險, 反正已經找到對應的MINI-DVD了, 玩了2小時都沒問題.

调整激光功后，dvd-r的兼容性比原始状态好多了，但好像dvd+r并不是很好，其实8cm dvdr的-和+无所谓，但文章没有提到dvd rw，可能GCN的光头和早期的PS2一样，不支持RW。

从长期性投资角度来看，Laser Tweak较符合经济效应。

当然，先决条件是自己的D.I.Y精神＋胆大心细。

任何事情都存在着一定的风险，做或者不做就因人而异，见仁见智了～
