I was really looking forward to getting my 3DS for quite some time. I was stoked when I finally got my hands on it. I got back to the house and immediately opened it up and set up my settings and my Mii. After that I put my 3DS on the docking station and let it charge for about 3 hours. I did not start off by playing a 3DS game, but rather played a regular DS game (Sonic Classic Collection). Everything was working perfect on it. I played the game for about 30 minutes and then decided to play Rayman 3D. This is where everything started to go downhill. As soon as the game started to load the system crashed. The 3DS just turned off without warning. I thought, "Okay that was weird" so I went to go turn it back on and...nothing. The damn thing wouldn't turn back on. I thought that it may have been that I didn't charge it long enough, so I put it back on the docking station for another hour. When I went to go turn it back on it worked...until I tried to load Rayman 3D back up. The system crashed once again upon trying to load the game. I immediately put it back on the docking station and tried to turn the system back on. When main screen came on I noticed by this point that the back light for the top screen had quit working at all. This, my friends, was a total let down. Five hours after I got the system it broke down on me. 5 HOURS!!!! I don't know for sure if it was the game that caused the system crash, or if it was a defect in the system entirely. I had to call Nintendo and now I have to send in my 3DS and wait 2-3 weeks for Nintendo to repair it, because they have no idea how the system crashed on me. I guess this is a fore warning that if you do purchase a 3DS you better get the insurance, because I didn't think that a brand new system could crash and tear up after just 30 minutes of playing it. I feel like I just got ripped off.
Thanks, Nintendo. |
