This review is from: Dark Souls Collector's Edition (Video Game)
I'm really looking forward to playing this game, but am very disappointed by the "Collector's Edition." Inside a metal tin you get 1) the game 2) a tiny hardback "art book" of mediocre quality and 3) a plastic card with a download code printed on it. The promised players' guide is not included as a physical object, but rather a downloadable PDF. In order to redeem the download you are asked to provide your name, address, email address and date of birth--and once you've done this a you are redirected to the download page, and informed that you have 24 hours to download your bonus content. Of course, Bandai doesn't seem to have much bandwidth, and the downloads (on release day) are failing after a few megabytes. So I can't successfully download the 23 MB player's guide, let alone the 200+MB soundtrack, or the 700 MB worth of bonus videos that Bandai couldn't be bothered to include on a disk. I'll update after my 24 hour window has passed--at this rate it is unlikely that I'll successfully receive any of this content.
