A Way Out Dev: PS4 Pro is like a 5 year old PC and it is really holding developers back
Josef Fares (producer of A Way Out) was recently interviewed by Engadget and on this occasion he talked about his new project announced at E3, explaining how the team has had to make some minor technical compromise to optimize the game on all platforms (PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4).

A Way Out is a new title, developed by Hazelight, the same makers of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and published by EA. We had seen it in action, for the first time, at the conference of E3 2017 by Electronic Arts and, since then, it impressed everyone with its style and unique features, like the ability to play exclusively in split screen co-op.
Interviewed by Engadget, the director and founder of the studio, Josef Fares, was able to speak in more detail about the game and the passion behind its development. At one point, discussing the console versions of A Way Out (remember that the title will be released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One), Fares expressed his opinion on the hardware of the console of the current gen, with a very clear statement.
In particular, Fares has said the following about the potential of the current gaming consoles: “You want the honest truth? This machine is not so strong as you think. This is like a five-year-old PC. If consoles were as powerful as PCs are today, you would see all different games. Most of the work developers put out there is to make them work on consoles.”
Recall that A Way Out is currently under development and will be published by Electronic Arts in early 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
What do you think of these statements? Let us know about your opinion in the comments below.
