So, Sony Playstation is 2x the size of Nintendo in revenue, but only about 1.15x higher in profit.
However, Sony as a whole is 8.5x the size of Nintendo in revenue and 4.5x higher in profit.
HOWEVER, note that Nintendo market cap is 6.68tril and Sony is 6.8tril. Almost identical in market cap.

Last comparison, Playstation vs. XBox revenues for only the quarter, ~6.5b USD vs ~3.9b USD. Playstation is about 70% larger than Xbox in revenues!)

今天索尼公布了2018财年第三财季的业绩，受其PlayStation部门及其图像传感器业务的推动，索尼第三季度营业利润达到3508亿日元（约合32亿美元），营收达到2.7万亿日元。净利润为2959亿日元，同比增长1400%。而索尼2017财年第三财季的营业利润为924亿日元。



索尼在财报中将2018年3月本财年盈利预期从6300亿日元提高到了7200亿日元，该预期为索尼72年历史中最高水平。

索尼宣布现副社长兼CFO吉田宪一郎（Kenichiro Yoshida）将担任新的社长兼CEO，现社长兼CEO平井一夫担任会长（相当于董事长）。
