　　CAPCOM夏季的PS2超大作《鬼泣》（DEVIL MAY CRY）是一款动作冒险游戏，这个游戏的制作人是三上真司，他同时也是《生化危机》系列 (Bio Hazard / Resident Evil) 的创始人 ，游戏内容是有关人类和魔界之间的斗争。CAPCOM 承认这个游戏事实上当初是计划成《生化危机》系列的新作品 ，但是到了正式讨论细节的时候，这款游戏反而变成了一个完全独立的作品，在风格和思考模式上完全脱离了《生化危机》系列。

　　在这次的二代当中，最独特的恶魔之心系统，便是把“魔石”装备在但丁的“魔化徽章(AMULET)”上，让魔人的能力产生变化的系统。当但丁变身为魔人时所能使用的特殊能力会依装备的魔石而改变。魔石有隐藏“属性攻击系”、“移动系”等各式各样的特殊能力，只要装备魔石之后进行“恶魔触发”，就能够获得新的恶魔之力。灵活驱使“恶魔之心系统”来狩猎恶魔吧！
　　玩家可以自由选择但丁或露希雅来进行游戏！“鬼泣2”的壮大故事是由他们两人所交织出来的！这两名主角的动作特性完全不一样，擅长的地形当然也不相同。并不是只有单纯的增加角色，而是游戏整体的份量变的比前作更加充实！
