虽然已经不是新闻了,但是上次那个haze似乎没产生什么样的影响。这次,ea将要发行的新作burnout paradise city,又是一款以ps3为主要平台而开发的游戏。然后再将其移植到xbox平台。据称,这样子有助于开发者更好的发挥ps3的性能。

As the first system to enter the next-gen console race, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 became the development platform of choice for studios creating next-gen titles, leading to a series of underwhelming ports of games to Sony’s newer PlayStation 3 console.
However, SCEA boss Tretton told IGN that the tide has begun to change, and that more developers have now become comfortable developing on PS3 as lead platform and then porting titles over to rival platforms, a strategy he says will allow devs to make full use of the PlayStation 3’s technological capabilities for the first time.
"We are now starting to see developers creating games on PS3 and then porting them to other platforms such as EA's Burnout," he said.
"Developers are telling us that they are starting to create their games on PS3 first and take advantage of the hardware capabilities and then port down to other platforms so we are seeing tremendous progress from the third party community in terms of what they are able to do with our development kits.
"You will see some very nice things in 2008 coming from our third party partners in addition to what you will see this holiday.". |
