Nate The Hate: PlayStation 2022 information/leaks/predictions + Persona + (not much information) #PART 1 for Sony
Rumour
Last week was Nintendo and now is Sony! Not much information at all other than public information but next week will be Part 2 with another hour-ish of information. This Part 1 was very surface level stuff information so this is a good summary with timestamps. I feel like last week Nintendo and the holdback of Spartacus is very safe.
@ 25:35 speculates Last of Us 1 Remake will be the big holiday game as GOW is speculated to release in September. This remake release is planned to release alongside of the television show. Factions 2 predicted to come sometime this year. --- (All Predictions).
@ 35:58 Nate confirms that Twisted Metal is in development for PS5 at Firesprite, early in development and will not come out this year. (Nate confirmation). Is mentioned later that a CG announcement is possible for this year at least.
@ 39:45 "there is a possibility we get to look at Bluepoint's original project" (this in 2022) --- "for the team to come into their own". Nate says this in passing but sounds like confirmation for the smaller project at Bluepoint.
--- As per Millie A a while back that Bluepoint would remake a game and make a smaller game similar to Miles Morales in size. So Nate info may align or he took it from Millie. Also it is heavily presumed that Bloodborne is the Bluepoint project.

@ 48:49 "pending when Final Fantasy 16 finally does release I think we finally see Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 as a PS5 exclusive" --- states no PS4 version and will believes it will come out in 2023. Square wants quicker turnarounds. (Sounds very confident but will put as speculation).
- FF16 to clear up confusion is predicted for the later half of 2022. FF7R 2 in 2023.
--- Also remember that FF7R Intermission was PS5 exclusive so it does make sense.
@ 52:05 Nate restates to people from last week that "Sony will retain whatever leverage they have on the mainline Persona games". Persona 6 will be PS4 & PS5 exclusive (just to clear confusion from last week). Also reaffirms that Persona 4 Golden will go to Nintendo Switch and PS4 & PS5 in 2022 as it would follow the Ultimax announcement and the anniversary. Does mention that Atlus is looking to expand the Persona franchise as they've done with their staggered PC strategy.
There is acquisition talk but nothing other than the two assuming Sony will target specific acquisitions (used as an example of Ember Lab). Nothing other than their thoughts following the recent news with no actual information to move forward on.
Next week as per *** is the second part of the Sony **ion on PSVR2 and Project Spartacus details. So, more information next week on Sony in #Part 2.
