Hart: 8.0:
Collected mostly weak shots. Could only pluck the ball out of the net when Duro beat him with his converted second-half free-kick. Made a couple of notable saves to keep his club in the game. Great reactionary save at the game's death. Preserved City's win.

Zabaleta: 7.0:
Played well down his flank.

Richards: 7.0:
Reverted back to defence after holding role in last uefa cup match

Dunne: 7.0:
Good positional sense and organised the defence well.

Garrido: 7.5:
Got forward well and one of his runs led to his team's first goal.

Wright-Phillips: 8.0:
Good link with Robinho could have set up goal within 30 seconds. Played in Jo for City's breakthrough. His pace was a constant threat.

Ireland: 7.5:
Wayward shot in first half, tenacious display led to a near-opener for Jo. Hit the post when bursting into the box. Should have pegged Omonia back with an immediate response, but could only find Georgallides' legs.

Kompany: 7.0:
Anchored admirably in opening 45. Strong and athletic performance. Great understanding of the game at a relatively raw age.

Robinho: 7.5:
Well linked with Wright Phillips, could have scored after one minute. Clever passing. Showed great skill on the ball in front of the opposition when he produced three stepovers followed by a nutmeg. His petulance though led to a booking.

Elano: 6.5:
Flashed a good effort wide on 50 minutes. Seldom showed his danger as his other three attacking team-mates made most of the action.

Jo: 8.0:
Should have scored but couldn’t put his foot through a delightful Ireland ball. Struck the post just before half-time. Good team player as he looked to assist as well as score. Struck the crossbar just after half-time. Scored. Controlled his second well with his thigh.

Sturridge: 6.0:

Hamann: 6.0

Was sent on the pitch to see the game out with only five minutes remaining.
