STV is a finely polished game and possibly one of the best strategy-RPGs ever made, although longtime fans will find some quibbles.
There's plenty of replay value after the approximate 20 hours it takes to finish the game.
Six elaborate and unique endings for each main character,
plus plenty of collectable anime screen captures will keep you busy well past 50 hours.
The menus sport transparency effects on par with what you see on cable news channels. Anime cutscenes total over 40 including battles.
The opening theme song sounds like a Broadway production, and the classic jazz background music suits the setting.
STV is tough to criticize unless you have played Sakura Taisen 3, which boasts better character designs, back stories, and cosplay appeasing many-a-fetish
(but hey, ST3 is set in Paris, not NY). Nevertheless, STV is worth importing if you have the means to do so.
Most menus are in English, and the attack commands are color-coded.
Also, you would have a good shot at guessing correct answers to questions by either matching the expression on Taiga's face
(next to the dialogue box in the lower left corner) to the girl's, or by using a guide. Of course,
that wouldn't be necessary if a US publisher would release one or more of these stellar games in English someday.
Fanboys (like I) across the country would rejoice!
