Initial sales of PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale have been a popular topic as of late. Much of the news stems from the game’s first appearance on the UK charts. In its debut week, Battle Royale was just the 38th best-selling title out of 40 in total.
But as IGN notes, calling out PlayStation All-Star’s “poor” sales aren’t exactly justified. The game didn’t see a full week of sales, and it’s more than possible that a large portion of its sales come from digital purchases.
In the end though, how Sony feels about the game’s sales are what counts. And fortunately, the company is pleased.
When asked about PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale’s performance, a representative told IGN:
“Sales are right on target with expectations and we are happy with them.”
