No.1 resident evil 5
Resident Evil 5 is the forthcoming seventh installment (including Zero and Code: Veronica) in the Resident Evil survival horror series for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and was first announced on July 20, 2005. The official release dates are to be announced. According to Capcom's fiscal year report at Jeux-France, both Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4 are expected be released before March 31, 2007 which ends their current fiscal year for the PlayStation 3. It is noteworthy that their was no news on a possible release date for the Xbox 360 version of the title during the report
Taking over producer duties from Hiroyuki Kobayashi is Jun Takeuchi (director of Onimusha, character designer for the original Resident Evil and animator for Resident Evil 2). Several staff members who also worked on the original Resident Evil are involved in development. According to Takeuchi, the game will utilize the same gameplay model introduced in Resident Evil 4, while implementing thematics from the original Resident Evil into the game. The game will be a full-fledged sequel taking place after the events in Resident Evil 4, and is said to be a major turning point in the series', overall storyline.
No official release date has been announced. In an interview with executive producer Keiji Inafune published in the Japanese publication Xbox 360ism states that both versions of the game will be released simultaneously if possible, depending on the launch date of the PlayStation 3, which has now been confirmed as early November 2006. The game will have online features that have yet to be disclosed.
It is noted that Resident Evil 5 and Devil May Cry 4 were not shown at E3 2006. Capcom supposingly reasoned that the company doesn't want to unveil the titles until they are available in a playable form. This could mean that it will be sometime before any new information will be released although it is speculated that the titles will make a appearance at the upcoming Tokyo Game Show later this year prior to the Japanese launch of the PlayStation 3. According to the fiscal year report at Jeux-France, RE5 is expected to be released sometime before March 31, 2007.
No details have been released about the game's storyline other than the fact that it is set after the events of Resident Evil 4 and that it will take place in a desert setting (an idea inspired by the movie Black Hawk Down).
No2. silent hill 5
While very little has been officially confirmed, chief designer of Silent Hill 5, Masashi Tsuboyama announced the game's development in a 2004 interview with Eurogamer. Tsuboyama-san first clarified rumours that it wasn't going to be called 'Shadows of the Past' as previously reported from one website. In the same interview, he stated that Konami wasn't sure which next-generation console it will be put out on but mentioned that it will be the best one, "be it PS3, be it Xbox 2 [sic]... It won't be on the current consoles."
During an episode of The Electric Playground (date currently unknown), Tommy Tallarico asked a developer about Silent Hill 5 who responded with, "It's a good time to be a Silent Hill fan," and the interview ended. There was a segment about the franchise shortly after, and it was stated that the title would be released on both current and next-gen consoles, yet it was unspecified which consoles they were. The mention of current consoles contradicts the statement made Masashi Tsuboyama who reported that the fifth installment wouldn't be available on them.
In several interviews, Akira Yamaoka has revealed some information regarding the fifth release. He hinted at a return to the psychological roots that were present in Silent Hill 2 and that the team was interested in setting the game's atmosphere in a sunny environment gone wrong. Yamaoka has commented that the game might not even be called Silent Hill 5, possibly indicating that Konami will scrap the numerical title and settle for a subtitle. Director of the movie adaptation Christophe Gans has also stated in various interviews that the fifth Silent Hill game is in development.
No.3 Devil May Cry 4
Devil May Cry 4 is the third sequel to the Capcom horror-action series Devil May Cry which according to Capcom's Hiroshi Kobayashi will now be released for the the upcoming PlayStation 3. However, it has been speculated that a Japanese release would occur sometime during early November 2006 with a North American release possibly in early 2007 and a European release several weeks later. Although, according to Capcom's fiscal year report at Jeux-France, Devil May Cry 4 and Resident Evil 5 are expected to be released before March 31, 2007, which ends their current fiscal year.
No.4 final fantacy Xlll
Final Fantasy XIII (s an upcoming installment in the Final Fantasy video game series, and is the first of the series to be released on the PlayStation 3. Unveiled at E?2006, the game features a high-tech futuristic world, and a heroine who wields a gunblade-type weapon. Motomu Toriyama is the director of the game. According to Square Enix President Yoichi Wada, the storyline will focus on "those who resist the world."
Final Fantasy XIII will run on the "White Engine", a proprietary engine built for Square Enix's next-gen games. The game was originally planned for the PlayStation 2 but was later moved to the PlayStation 3 after the development team discovered the power of the platform.
Combat
From the footage shown at E?battles in the game appear to be in real-time similar to Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XII, but without the colored target arcs linking player to enemy. Square Enix has also confirmed that the game will feature real-time battles.
Each action the player makes (for example casting a spell) seems to cost points, which adds up on an "ATB cost" numerical value on the lower part of the screen. In the 5 action slots (on the bottom of the screen) it seems that a player can queue up to five commands at a time to execute in battle; so long as the sum cost of all actions are not greater than the character's total "ATB cost" points . All of the currently known commands shown from the trailer and scans thus far are "Escape", "Cure", "Shoot", "Aerial", "V Strike", "Attack", "Fire", "Blizzrad" [sic], "Thunder", "Defend", and "Firaga", each with an allotted amount of ATB cost. It may be that the player fills up the queue, and then the character performs these actions in successive order making it an interesting combination of real-time and turn-based battle systems.
Characters
Not many details have been revealed about the characters of the game. It has been said that there is no 'main character', and that the game will center around multiple characters. From the trailer shown at E?the character shown was a young woman wielding a gunblade-type weapon which can transform into a sword or gun, but does not function as both at the same time -- instead it can transition from one to the other with a switch-blade or butterfly knife like motion, as shown in a brief scene in the trailer.
Online
While players will still be able to experience Final Fantasy XIII as an offline game, Yoshinori Kitase has stated in the developer interview that players will also be able to play Final Fantasy XIII online as well.
No.5 Gran Turismo HD
Gran Turismo (GT) is a series of racing video games produced for the Sony PlayStation, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable gaming systems. All of the games, for their time, exhibited meticulous detail in the simulation of the physics of driving and racing a large number of vehicles, nearly all of which were licensed reproductions of real-world automobiles. The graphical detail of the cars was similarly accurate and realistic. The original Gran Turismo was the best selling game ever made for the original PlayStation, and successive versions have been similarly successful.
No.6 Metal Gear Solid 4
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (commonly abbreviated MGS4) will be the last iteration in the Metal Gear Solid series of stealth-based games, as announced by Konami in March 2005. Using the motto "No place to hide" and the theme of "Senses", the game is being produced by Kenichiro Imaizumi, with series creator Hideo Kojima co-directing the game with Shuyo Murata. It is being developed by Kojima Productions exclusively for the PlayStation 3.
Initially, Hideo Kojima announced that he would be retiring as director of the Metal Gear series after Metal Gear Solid 3: S*** Eater and would leave his position open to another person for Metal Gear Solid 4. As a joke, the new director was announced as "Alan Smithee", the pseudonym often used by Hollywood film directors who do not wish to be credited for their work. An early trailer for the game also displayed the words "No place to hide", and then the slightly-altered "No place for Hideo?"
In R, a 400-page book bundled with Metal Gear Solid 3's Japanese "Premium Package", the director was revealed to be Shuyo Murata, co-writer of MGS3 and director of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. He has also contributed humorous easter eggs to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel.
However, on May 17 2005, it was announced on Kojima Productions' official website that Kojima will be co-directing the game with Murata, due to substantial negative fan reaction and even death threats
No.7 Tekken 6
Tekken 6 is the upcoming installment of Namco's Tekken series, expected to come out sometime in 2006 or 2007. At E3 in 2005, a teaser video featured Jin Kazama demonstrating some martial arts moves. Jin's skin showed different scars and shades, giving it a sense of realism. Sweat could be seen evaporating from Jin's body and going down his face. At one point, when he touches his flesh, it moves along with the movement of some sweat droplets. The video portrayed a similar dynamic look that Tekken has followed over the years.
At E3 in 2006, another video was shown, featuring Jin Kazama fighting Lili in what appeared to be a deserted church, similar to the stage in Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. As the fight rolls on, Hwoarang appears, crashing through a stain glass window. Much to Jin's surprise, he leaves his guard open only to be kicked straight into the air by Lili. Soon after, Hwoarang jumps off his bike having it collide and explode into Jin. The smoke clears, and Jin has transformed into Devil Jin. He then rushes down to the ground to attack Hwoarang but is countered and sent retreating into the air. Devil Jin hesitates to retaliate, deciding he is outnumbered by Lili and Hwoarang, and escapes by shooting a laser beam into another nearby building, having it collapse and crash into the area where both Lili and Hwoarang are standing.
No.8 Final Fantasy Versus XIII
Final Fantasy Versus XIII is a video game for the PlayStation 3 which, alongside Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII, makes up part of the compilation Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy XIII. Unveiled at E?2006, the game is "not merely a sequel, but a wholly independent story unfolding in a different world with different characters." The game will be developed by the team responsible for the hit Kingdom Hearts series. Tetsuya Nomura will be the director.
It has been stated this game will be action-oriented. IGN have speculated this game could be out in 2008. Unlike for Final Fantasy XIII, Square-Enix has not publicly released a trailer for this game
Characters
* The protagonist, a mysterious young man with dark blue hair and crimson eyes. The last heir to a dynasty ruling the only remaining city in the world to control crystals, he protects his home from marauders that would conquer the city and take the crystals as their own. He wields a number of different weapons, including swords, spears, and lances, and can even control their movements in the air to form a whirling barrier around himself.
* Mysterious soldiers. These unknown warriors wear armor that has a medieval design, but also carry assault rifles resembling modern automatic weapons. They appear to be one of the outside forces attempting to invade the city and steal the crystals, but even that remains unclear.
No.9 Alone in the Dark 5
Alone in the Dark, also known as Alone in the Dark 5 and Alone in the Dark: Near Death Investigation, is the fourth sequel of the survival horror video game series created by Atari. The game will be released on PC and Xbox 360.
A PlayStation 3 version was confirmed by Sony at the Tokyo Game Show 2005, however, it is noteworthy that that title has not been officially announced by its publisher, Atari. While the PS3 version seems to be apparently missing, various PlayStation publications (including Official PlayStation Magazine & PSM), have recently reported on the title as still being developed for the next-gen console. The official release date(s) are still to be announced, but speculation has ranged from November 17, 2006, to sometime during 2007.
Plot
Set during 2006, the story continues with Edward Carnby, the main protagonist from the original game, looking for answers to strange supernatural and bizarre occurrences while battling his way through the opposition in New York City's Central Park. It has been mentioned that Atari wouldn't reveal exactly how Carnby is still running around in present day considering that the first installment took place during 1926, but they have hinted that they've contemporized the setting and made Carnby younger, Basically, he isn't there simply for name recognition. Condensed portions of the game were seen during the E3 2006 presentation.
Fear
Taking the fear to a new level, the next-gen Alone in the Dark features the macabre style of the series played with new gameplay mechanics and a broader-reaching, action-packed play style. Explore fully-interactive realtime worlds, interacting with physics and roaming the wide-open, fright-filled environments. Developer Eden Games has mentioned that they want the structure of the game to be in a similar manner as the television shows, like 24 and Alias. Nadal stated that the storyline will be presented as "episodic content completely structured to the gameplay."
And No.10 Medal of Honor: Airborne
Medal of Honor: Airborne is the next installment in the long-running Medal of Honor series of World War II first-person shooters. It is being developed by Electronic Arts' Los Angeles studio for release on the Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft Xbox 360, Wii, and PC.
Overview
In Airborne, the player will take on the role of Private first class Boyd Travers, a paratrooper in the U.S. 82nd Airborne Division. Travers' insertion into major engagements in Sicily, France, Holland, and Germany will reportedly be controllable by the player. The chosen landing zone will, according to the Electronic Arts' announcement, affect the course of the subsequent mission.
Players will be able to loosely control where they land, affecting the mission in one way or another. They can also have customizable weapons that you can upgrade with authentic parts. These upgrades stay with them through the game, so there is no need to upgrade the same weapon with the same part over and over again.
Medal of Honor Airborne will also feature Prone and Iron Sights. This was announced on the official website in the airdrop section. Havok physics which were also in Pacific Assault are expected to be added to the game.
