Wii Error 32004

I'm getting the error code 32004. I have a netgear MR814 router and have tried all recommended fixes by nintendo and am still unable to update my wii.

Solution:

Got the same error with a mates Wii; by sniffing his firewall (er, I built it) we determined that the Wii's wireless signal was poor. DHCP config is poor; switched to static and it's much better... try that

Solution 2:

Here's my fix for 32004. Went to the computer where the wireless router is connected to and looked up it's Default Gateway Address. To do this, goto run, type in cmd and when the command prompt pops up, type in ipconfig Write down the name of your Default Gateway Address. Also, be sure to find out the MTUs that your Wireless Router uses, even though most of them use the standard 1492 if I am not mistaken. Anyways, setup your wireless connection automatically, and when you get the error message go manually change the settings for the connection. Click over to the Auto-DNS section, and click no. Manually enter the Default Gateway Address as your Primary and Secondary DNS Addresses. This fixed it for me. Hope it works for you guys as well. (thanks Jeremy)

Solution 3:

I have a Netgear router, and had to turn off the SPI firewall before I could get the updates to work. Before that the connection would pass the test, but I would always get the 32004 code afterwards. I turned the SPI firewall back on after the update, and appear to be able to shop, get weather, etc. (Thanks S.)

Solved the 32004 error on my Wii. I have a Linksys WRK54G. Went into the wireless configuration on the router. Changed the wireless network mode to G only as well as my wireless channel to channel 11 - 2.467 GHz. Wii updated and worked fine.

Hi there. Another possible cause of error 32004 is if you happen to be using opendns (http://www.opendns.org). While it's a very useful service, I found that using it I wasn't able to update my Wii, as soon as I switched to using my regular ISPs DNS, all was well.

Solution 6: (thanks Martin)

I encountered error 32004 and after much searching found the issue to be my transparent proxy (i use squid). My firewall was setup to forward port 80 traffic to squid which acts as my web cache. however, nintendos servers seem not to like this and i got the error 32004. You can see this in a packet capture because the servers respond 403 forbidden to the http request the wii does.

Anyhow, disabled squid and it now works. just thought you might like to know

Weeks passed without a sucessfull system update. The blue bar would barely move and always stop with a 32004 error. I was about to declare my unit faulty when I moved it from sitting on a concrete floor (no doubt containing a big steel reinforcement grid) to the top of the TV (yes remember those old 4:3 CRT ones that you can sit stuff on) and managed to get the blue bar to 95% before a 32004. This oddly updated the firmware to 2.1E (from 2.0E) and was showing a 41212 code on the update screen but still wanted to do the update. Second attempt (wii perched on fireplace shelf) worked a treat. So get your unit off the concrete floor away from steel grids, power lines, or anything else that may interfere with the wifi signal. Worked for me..

我也不知道最后到底是什么问题，再次谢谢，2.2J了不过没有新游戏，升了好象也没什么用，我把我电脑上的蓝牙适配器给拔了，还把手机蓝牙关了才用了20多分钟就升完了 哈哈 把WII搬会客厅玩，自己屋的电视21寸的
