Some news from Geremia over at XBOXHacker.
Got a drive as gift for testing (thanks Raiden)
Some small update:
it's an embedded spi flash, exactly an MX25L2005 and dosflash1.6 can write it.
The bad is that you can access it only if it's completely erased, this seems to be the "check module" mentioned into the patent
About reading the fw, i can just get 3-4 256bytes chunks in a tricky way, but can't have a complete dump this way.
reading dvdkey: ok
reading unique drive data: ok
erasing flash: ok
writing flash: ok
reading flash: missing

目前lite on光驱内置的spi flash可以通过mx25l2005和dosflash1.6来写入，但是不幸的是可以进行一定的操作，因为好像光驱的spi flash内有一定的检验模块，当你进行一定操作时可能固件被彻底删除，关于读取固件，目前只能读取3-256字节的垃圾文件，不能完全读取整个固件文件

读取dvdkey：ok
读取独有的光驱数据：ok
删除flash：ok
写入flash：ok
读取flash：缺失

看来这确实是一个令人振奋的消息，期待hacker攻克难关.
