自问自答:
BenQ has 5 potential key ranges: 0xA000-0xAFFF, 0xB000-0xBFFF, 0xC000-0xCFFF, 0xD000-0xDFFF, and 0xE000-0xEFFF. So, your firmware will have one of those ranges as your key section. You can easily spot the section, as the key will usually be in the first 40 bytes of the range, and the rest of the range will be bytes of 'FF' until the end of the section.
This tutorial will give you an idea of what to look for in your firmware.
Caster.
There are 5 'key' revisions of the firmware. The 5 possible key ranges start at: A000,B000,C000,D000,E000. So, yours is type 1, which starts at A000. The iXtreme firmware is type 5, which starts at E000. A benq key that is 'injected' into iXtreme firmware will always be in the E000 range, and if 'injected' with firmtool, at the same offset in the E000 range as whatever offset it was at in your original firmware (so, A030 vs E030). If both keys are the same, it should funtion fine.
So, you get the 'Insert disc into Xbox360 console' error?
Unregistered007 is talking about the 'Make iXtreme firmware' command i believe, which uses firmtool.
