Nvidia compress colors to achieve higher fps, it is proven already before but Nvidia fans never admitted

@qwertyusen AMD also compresses Colors, but much less aggressive as it seems. Theoretically delta color compression should be lossless though, so if the colors really are different, there is additional lossy compression on at least one side

When I upgraded from my gtx 980 to the fury x when I played bioshock infinite on an acer b286hk 4k monitor and the amd card had better looking textures and the colors in general I thought the fury x was better image quality.

Good job man, ive testing on ips monitor gtx 760 and hd 7950, and on amd card i see pure black and pure white instead of blended nv image

I always noticed this difference. When I switched from nVidia to AMD, it simply seemed sharper, but I couldn't put my finger on why. I noticed this even from the desktop background, windows logo and so on.
There is a difference in Black Ops 4 as well. Look at the written text at 3:34, the "E15" if that's what it says.

nvidia seems to gain performance by using a lower quality rasterization / picture denoising engine... And it could be that they fiddle with it and adjust it in drivers for every game so they save performance... I own both a rx vega 64 and a gtx 1070 and using my 4K samsung 55" TV in gaming mode i can really see the clarity and detail difference in favor of my vega.

I use gtx 1080 and vega 56 be4. I honestly can say the image quality, colour accuracy looks better on AMD compare to nvidia. Try racing games pit both cards side by side, while driving between tress, you will notice it.

@Aron Lee Full rgb doesn't fix image quality, my hd5450 still has better image quality than my 950. Limited to full does not fix image quality difference between amd and nvidia.

Side by side, my 1070 gets better fps but my girlfriends 570 looks so much more rich. More saturated. Dunno

AMD R9 390 does not use the same(or even any) compression because it had a 384bit memory bus instead of 256bit +compression (cheaper to make likely). Than new amd moved to in mid range and Nvidia did.

I had a gtx 770 but won a cheap amd 7970 on ebay.I put in my PC and never went back to the gtx 770 because I thought picture was better on 7970.

@Faycal Assaad i've tested at home the 1660ti and 2060 but i think return them because the quality on my screen is beter with my RX 570 ...
I have all tested in the options and used DDU uninstaller and then the official drivers. The 1660ti is very silent and powerful, but what i see on my screen is more beautiful
with AMD cards ...

In the Forza Horizon 4, it seems that Nvidia card were doing some kind of Upscaling from a lower resolution to the native one. Maybe they implemented this in their drivers to avoid RX Vega 64 to beat the GTX 1080 Ti?

All my cards were Nvidia my last one was a 1060 when i changed to a Rx580 the first thing i notice is that the colors were better and i ever think textures look better too. No more Nvidia for me.

I noticed this 5 years ago, watching movies/playing games seems more colorful on amd cards, сolors are deeper, richer and natural. Nvidia looks washed out and flat.

When I changed from 4870 to gtx 770 it took a lot of adjustments to get anywhere near as good clarity. Recently upgraded to Vega 64, straight in, no adjustments required, clarity back again :)

I use rx590 new, before use Gtx 1080 ti. I say you difference amd Card much more color and details. I say clearly amd really Greatest image quality but performance is not beter than nvidia. I buy rx 5700 Xs loss Price and continue amd Card. I use my Sony tv 12 bit and this is an amazing, ı never use nvidia 12 bit Maximus 10 bit. Thank yolu.

I always thought this was BS but goddamn was I wrong. I switched from a 1070Ti (it died on me) to a RX 5700 XT and there is a massive difference in color (even though i enabled full color spectrum in the control panel). I got an 99% sRGB IPS monitor and the percieved difference is massive.

Going from Gtx 980 to a vega 56 i notice better image quality. And i will be sticking to AMD cards in future just for this alone. plenty other stuff i perfer with Radeon cards too, multiple monitor setup dosn't make your mouse feel weird like it did on my Nvidia card. and the drivers are amazing these days!

I changed recently r9 390 to gtx 1080 and i noticed worse colors and i can't reach as sharp image as i did with amd texture filtering quality at quality. If you change color to auto from amd's control panel it looks much better than nvidia

I moved from RX580 8gb to 1070ti and it feels worse... I'm using Omen 32 monitor with amd free sync.(since this year also supported by nvidia) I made clean windows reinstall last weekend with latest drivers and still it feels worse. like there are some micro hiccups and image is not so good... I can even see micro hiccups while watching Netflix. My girlfriend can't see it but it almost makes me sick... does anyone has similar experience?"

I did when I switched 270x to 1060. I am visual guy and image on nvidia was/ is unaccaptable. Not just game, even desktop is ugly. i Do use color profile to iron it out but it is still miles away compared to old amd. I Notice it the most in games where I don't use any anti-aliasing. For example rocket league. Edges are jagged, textures are shit and color is meh. Amd should really market on this when they clearly have superior picture. Its like comparing super amoled vs some low tier screen. Also, games run a lot smoother. I will surely switch to amd when they make silent and low powerconsumption series like they did with ryzen cpus.

I used to laugh at this comparison of graphics card outputting less color. I used all nvidia cards up until now. Recently i used a rx 460 and it was my first time using an AMD graphics card. And the colors were night and day difference of my gtx 1060. For some reason AMD card outputs much better black levels and colors were more vibrant and saturated. After reverting back to gtx 1060 everything felt whitish. Turns out it is a Nvidia driver bug while using HDMI to connect monitor. The driver recognizes the monitor as a TV and output limited RGB colors. Then I changed the limited RGB output to Full (0-255) and everything is just as vibrant and well saturated as the AMD card now. Its a bug that still exists now |

你自己粘贴的回复你是不是没看全啊，你复制的最后一个回复很好的为你解释了现在N和A为什么色彩不同以及怎样设置相同，尤其在现今数字信号普及的时代，相同的显示器输出，A卡默认RGB全取色彩看起来浓艳，N卡默认RGB有限色彩看起来发灰发白，最直接的例子就是显示器输出下PS4如果用RGB限制画面会看起来发白发灰，而用RGB全取就没有这个问题，据我所知PS4可没有N卡版吧
